Dan Passarelli

Author and options educator Dan Passarelli is the founder of Market Taker Mentoring Inc.

Dan has more than 20 years' experience in the options industry and has worked as both a floor trader and an options instructor.

Dan began his option trading career as a market maker on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), trading equity options. He has also traded agricultural options and futures at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).

In 2005, Dan began teaching others what he learned from his years in the trading pits. He worked with the Options Institute at CBOE and the Options Industry Council (OIC). Through these organizations, Dan educated thousands of options traders about options fundamentals and the trading techniques and market strategies of successful option traders.

Dan is the author of two popular options books: Trading Option Greeks, and The Market Taker's Edge. Dan has also written numerous articles for financial publications. He has been a featured speaker on radio and television and has presented numerous podcasts and webcasts on options trading. John Kmiecik

John brings with him a vast amount of knowledge from being in the trading arena for well over 25 years. He has worked his way up from accounting to the trading floor for firms such as Goldman Sachs, First Options of Chicago and Lind-Waldock, just to name a few. Options trading intrigued John and has led to a very successful career as a trader. 

In 2005 John decided to share his passion with others. He has coached hundreds of traders one-on-one and in various group settings. John prefers to work with traders on a one-on-one basis, which led him to Market Taker Mentoring Inc., which allows him to readily lend himself to his students. 

John has traded both as a professional trader, trading for hedge funds, as well as an individual “retail” trader. John continues to mentor traders, has written several option and psychology of trading articles and continues to trade himself today. 

John’s education strategy is simple: Let’s find what works best for the trader both mentally and from a risk perspective and let’s get him or her in that comfort zone.

David Rodgers

Dave Rodgers is an instructor and trader at MarketTaker.com. He has over 25 years of financial markets experience. He has traded futures and futures options in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange pits and equity options in the Chicago Board Options Exchange pits. Dave oversaw an off floor trading desk which traded equity options across multiple floors simultaneously. He has also traded Natural Gas futures, options and swaps for the unregulated traded desk at Nicor Enerchange Inc. He has earned his MBA in Management at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and his B.S. in Finance and Economics from Drexel University. Dave offers a unique prospective when evaluating trades. His experiences as a futures pit trader, an options market maker, a corporate asset manager and an off floor day trader enables him touse a well-balanced methodology when evaluating trade opportunities.
